This week started off with a picnic at Sgt. Well's and his wife Hope's house. We worked hard around the rain to get the forms made for the shop slab. With all of the heavy rain the creek raised to it's highest point of the summer.
Since we were waiting for the cement to be delivered and since it was raining so much this week did a couple of odd jobs like cut firewood in an area I can find when it's under snow. We also went to the old B&B to dig up a frozen like. That was the same day (Tuesday) everyone had off to go flight seeing, tour Tok, go out to dinner and finally go to the Tok RV storyteller/singing show.
By Friday our cement guy was back in town and we convienced him to pour. Although we had a slight downpour in the middle of the pour (3 full loads and one butt load), plus it was 3 hours between loads, things came out as good as could be expected. Everyone worked hard that day moving cement, trying to get it level and cleaning up all of our tools.
Saturday we sawed some more boards - lots needed for the shop, dug a trench to provide power to the new cabins and a few other odd jobs. Sunday after church everyone was invited to a going away potluck for some good friends. Terry and Kaleigh took the canoe to Moon Lake, Gary went for a hike and Dan read.
