Log Cabin Progress June 23, 2008

It was a very productive week, but lots going on. Starting last Sunday we had to drive 36 miles one way twice a week to check the fish wheel. It worked out well, we ended up with 89 salmon. Then we had to process them when we got home. Jill made a trip to Fairbanks to pick up Jesse, Steve and the twins. We were under the gun to get cabin #2 finished by Saturday night - we had guests that night. I told the guys if we worked after dinner Friday they could have Saturday AND Sunday off. A noon on Saturday two guests from Holland who had been with us a week earlier came back and wanted to help us. So while the kids went canoing we worked. Got finished just at 6pm. Kaleigh soloed with the stick shift on an errand run to Tok. She only stalled twice! We sure have a gem of a crew this year.

The big pressure is off now. We'll finish up a few loose ends this week and start on the shop soon.
